Critical heritage theory is relevant to everyone, but can be hard to get into. Here, some of the debates are broken down so anyone who is interested can find out more.

I am currently doing a PhD at the University of York, studying how critical heritage theory is used in policy and legislation and in practice. I have had a lifelong interest in heritage and history and this blog will explain what critical heritage studies means, why it is useful, and I will talk about some of the elements of the past which fascinate me.
